I thought male and female were exclusive
Never knew they would meet in the middle
No blurred lines, there are no lines
The gender lies recede into the mist

They said there were only two genders
As a boy I thought I was the wrong one
I changed so much, did I go too far?
What is your gender when two become one?

I saw a word that I never knew before
Androgyne had a new ring, sounded cool
Gender is not about being cool though
Or even how you let folks define you

I'll no longer gonna let them tell me
the way that I ought to live my life
I might just go sing the androgyne song
The old labels just no longer fit me.
