Two Become One

I thought male and female exclusive
Never knew they met in the middle
No blurred lines, there are no lines
The gender lie recedes like mist

They said there were two genders
I thought I was the wrong one
I changed so much to be me
What is your gender when two become one

I saw a word that I never knew
Androgyne had a ring, sounded cool
Gender aint about being cool though
Or even how other folks define you

I'll no longer let them tell me
the way my life should be
I might go sing an androgyne song
Their labels just do not fit me.
