Amazing years

Was deeply flawed
I was no boy
Must be a girl
Just did not know
That gender flows

Two genders were
Just far too few
Pick a random number
There's probably more
A spectrum of gender
And not just the poles

Didn't fit the extremes
Fell somewhere between
Seemed as clear as mud
