Goddess

For Millennia she was known
The people were her own
But tyranny contained her
The Christian war machine

The Goddess of enlightenment
She sails across my sky
Every day she is stronger
Her people are returning

Peace and harmony
A gentle way of life
The Goddess knows the seasons
The ebb and flow of life

In a world that needs her
Many people greet her
Mother of the Earth
Mistress of life and death

Harm none is her credo
It really makes much sense
If you harm another
You really hurt yourself

There really are no other rules
But to live and laugh and love
Life should be fulfilling
And not an acetic trudge

As the season turns
And Earth returns to slumber
The promise life shall return
When the wheel turns a little more

The Goddess is eternal
Her patience is unbound
When we know the Goddess
Our life is turned around

Our mother is the Goddess
She gives us life and death
But death is never final
It's just a time of rest

She doesn't want our worship
Just wants us all to grow
To reach our full potential
Know truths the Goddess knows
