I Loved Her (And turned her away)

It was the year of our lord nineteen ninety two
The fourteenth of march was the fateful day
That was when I made my biggest ever mistake
It was when I rejected and turned her away

I know she was a girl that I cared for a lot
I thought I had it in me to love her forever
But the doubts crept into my daily thoughts
I believed foolishly that she wasn't for me

I told her to go and I turned her love away
Hindsight tells me I was gravely in the wrong
I should never have gave her and her love away
I feel that I have blown my best ever chance

But she now gives her love to another boy
She probably never even thinks of me anymore
She was the one, She was just right for me
I loved her and turned her away.
