Looking Back (To the first time)

I was only walking to the shops
When I saw her across the road
An emotional surge came over me
And it brought back these feelings

Looking back to the first time
That can make you feel so lonely
Looking back to the first time
It can make you feel so sad
The worst bit is when you find
That she's in love again

Your mind, it fills with regret
About what you should have done
It's not time to cry over spilt milk
So remember all the crying is done

First love doesn't ever really die
I guess it stays with you
You might not know it until today
Until she's walking down your street

The worst part for you to see
It's when she has found love again
And you are so lonely on your own
And ole green eyes raises his head

You've got to get some perspective
Because she has a right to her life
You have got to find someone else
And put her to the back of your mind

All that she did is love you
Carry On
Calling Time
Those days are gone

I loved her and turned her away
All we have are tears
