ZX Spectrum Plus 2
The ZX Spectrum +2 was the first model released by AMSTRAD after they bought out Sinclair. This is quite a capable machine and is considered to be largely analogous to the final Sinclair machine the ZX Spectrum 128k, known on the scene as a toastrack due to the big ugly heatsink on the right hand end of the case. As a result software for the toastie will run on the +2 with no problems.
The +2 has a very nice keyboard. It made a big difference to the machine. The later AMSTRAD ZX Spectrums all had the same keyboard. Typing on them was so much more comfortable than on previous Spectrums.
Like AMSTRAD's own CPC464 (I'd like one of those), the +2 came with a cassette deck built in. For some reason it did not have a volume control like the AMSTRAD. I first had a +2 in the early nineties. This is not the same one.
